The Devil and Sam Walton

A man looks in the abyss...

So, I sold something to that company in Arkansas, yesterday.
That's right; I've crawled through the belly of the beast.

I  wonder why the doomsday preachers never fixed on Sam as the Antichrist.

Who better?

Revelation 13:16-17

King James Version (KJV)
16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

I mean, it's all right there,
just as plain as that red thing on Gorbachev's face.
(He made a pretty good Antichrist candidate in his time, too...)

There's no soul over there in Arkansas.  It's just a great, black abyss.

Sam ain't dead; he's just bidin' his time...

Where's Hal Holbrook when you need him? The Abyss

Case of the Mondays

It's Monday.
I'm feeling overworked.
If you're a good salesman, that just means you have something to do,
and someone is waiting for it.

My mentor - the Great Peter - once told me:
"You're in sales, Jack; if you're giving it more than 60%, you're doing something wrong."

I could use a pick me up.
And very little picks me up like The Jesters' Cadillac Man.

Day One

So, here we are.  It's time for me to sound my barbaric yawp.

I am a salesman.  There are many of us.

This is a blog for salesmen and those that love or hate them,
which is probably everybody in the world, in one way or another.

I should have a million followers by the end of the week.

Oh, yeah...  you're gonna want that TrueCoat.
